New Multiple Category Filter

For those of you that have been using TOR Fashion for awhile, you’ve probably noticed we’ve had some troubles with the filtering system, especially after we moved the site to the new hosting server.

For more than a year, I’ve been searching for a simple plugin that will allow users to search on multiple categories. It sounds like it would be an easy plugin to find, but I’ve recently found out that your theme can cause all kinds of problems with the filter and that’s why there aren’t a lot of options available.

So, I hired a WordPress plugin developer I found on /r/forhire. /u/shastapete did a fantastic job! Even with a couple hiccups because I didn’t clearly state what I wanted, he had a plugin designed and uploaded to the site and it works great.

Getting multiple filtering working on TOR Fashion has been my number one goal for so long, I feel like this huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

How it works:

Just click on MULTIPLE CHOICE FILTER on the TORF or ESOF sidebar. A drop down menu will show the parent categories. You can then click on the down area for each category and choose any or all of the child categories you want to search on. Then hit submit and that’s all there is to it.
