Who is Exiled Messenger?

My real name is Angelique (Angel). I am a content creator who focuses mainly on Elder Scrolls Online and Star Wars: The Old Republic. I’m pretty late to playing MMOs, starting around 2009 with World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King and moving to Star Wars: The Old Republic when it launched in 2011. I started volunteering for Dulfy in 2013 and took over her site, TOR Fashion, in 2014. That same year, I created MMO Fashion and started covering more MMOs. Though I own the sites, Dulfy and I continued working together until she decided to focus on her career in 2019.

My primary focus has always been taking screenshots of items in game and working on the sites. I’m lousy at social media and checking Twitter and Facebook for messages and keeping track of all the changes with the different games. If you want to get a hold of me, it’s best to use the contact form on the sites. I also have an MMO Fashion Discord and always answer DMs, though rarely pay attention to what people are saying in chat. It isn’t a matter of not caring, it’s just I’m so busy I don’t have time for much beyond taking screenshots and updating posts.

My goal with the sites is to make them as useful for people as possible while still making enough money to cover my operating costs. Let me know if you have have suggestions. I try to accommodate reasonable requests if I’m able to. I am not a coder. Anytime something seriously breaks on the site, I have to contact an actual developer and pay to have it fixed. There are a lot of things I wish I could do, but don’t have the coding knowledge to implement or the money to pay someone to do it. If you’d like to help me out with anything, you can use the submission links on individual sites, contact me to volunteer your time, or donate money.

I am from the United States. I’m a retired Air Force Intelligence Analyst and have lived in several countries, including spending 11 years in Europe. Currently, I reside in the Midwest (Central Time Zone) with my aging parents, four dogs, and three cats. I ended my career with some health issues that occasionally make it difficult to work more than a few hours a day. Fortunately, it’s nothing serious or life threatening, just painful and annoying. Unfortunately, I rarely get projects finished in as timely manner as I would like. I receive enough in retirement  and disability pay to cover my living costs, but not enough to pay for the sites’ operating costs. If I ever get to the point I am not generating enough income from ads to pay for the server fees (currently over $500 per month because the hundreds of thousands of pictures require a good server), I’ll have to quit. Until then, I’ll keep plugging away.
